SAILS....Laundry Room
|
The laundry is
physically under the galley, and is affectionately know as "the
basement". This is an amazing room for a 45 foot yacht; 6' 6"
standing headroom, accessed through a staircase off the Main Salon.
Far more goes on here than laundry. The AC and DC main breaker
panels are here along with all of the wiring and meters. The water
heater and fresh water pump are here, as are the air conditioning
compressors. There is a functional work bench with a vice, and loads
of storage. Most importantly this room and the entire bilge has
been maintained "dusty dry" it's whole life. The bilge and all of
the steel that touches the water on the outside, can be easily inspected,
kept dry, and painted on the inside. The dry bilge has an added
benefit of absolutely no odor; a good thing for a laundry.
