FL to CT Day 25
Hampton, VA to Reedville, VA
We had a great layover in Hampton... even though the weather sucked we do have some great friends here and was a great visit.

We departed early at 0645 and headed out of the Salt Pond toward the Chesapeake Bay... Forecast was for 2 foots seas till 0700 calming to 5 to 10 knots and 1-2 ft seas. As usual the forecast was off... we had 20-25 knot winds and 3-4 foot seas till about 1000... it was so nasty that we were bailing and going to anchor inside New Point Comfort Point... when we decided to bail we were an hour out from anchoring... before we reached the anchorage the wind literally died as if someone had flipped a switch and the waves calmed down... we aborted the anchoring plan and diverted back to our original plan... Reedville, VA.

We arrived to Jennings Boatyard Docks in Reedville our destination for the day at approximately 1445... we were securely docked with power at 1500... our position for the night N37°49.867', W076°17.140’. We traveled today for 8.5 hours covering 51.0 nautical miles averaging 6.0 knots.
