FL to CT Day 17
Murrells Inlet, SC to North Myrtle Beach, SC
Before departing we needed to feed SAILS some diesel... Wacca Wache opened at 0800 and we had the pumps running by 0815...

3 hours later SAILS was full... yep it took 3 hours to fill her tanks... the pump was really slow and we were only able to use one pump... when there are two pumps we try to use both at the same time... one in the port tank and in the starboard tank... not today... there was another boat already on the dock needing 1000 gallons and several other boats arrived that also wanted fuel... there was 3 or 4 others circling waiting for room on the dock to fuel... they were very busy which is understandable as they currently have the best price on the east coast...

We always thought SAILS held 1200 gallons of fuel... we found out today that she holds more... we put in 1250 gallons.

We arrived to our destination for the day... Barefoot Landing at approximately 1515... we were securely docked at 1530... our position for the night N33°48.091', W078°44.691’. We traveled today for 2.5 hours covering 19.3 nautical miles averaging 5.5 knots.

FL to CT Day 16
Charleston, SC to Murrells Inlet, SC
We departed from Charleston City Marina at 0715... planned destination Wacca Wache Marina.

About 30 minutes out from the dock the starboard engine temperature started rising above normal... engine room check I found a blown cooling hose on the turbo... we continued on one engine Susan at the helm while I replaced the hose... we were back up to speed before reaching Isle of Palms.

The we spent the next six hours fighting current and running in shallow water... 5 to 6 feet deep... When we reached the Georgetown area we did get into deep water and nice boost of speed form the flood tide that we rode all the way to Wacca Wache Marina.

We arrived to the Marina at approximately 1800... we were securely docked 1815... our position for the night N33°33.738', W079°05.178’. We traveled today for 11 hours covering 73.2 nautical miles averaging 6.7 knots.

FL to CT Day 15
Church Creek, SC to Charleston, SC
We slept in this morning as we were only a couple of hours away from our destination for the day and we could not dock until after 1100. Charleston City Marina rules for check-in time.

Very glad we were not traveling far today as the small boats were out in droves... Saturday and beautiful weather.

The whole Inverter thing changed this morning as we were headed to Charleston... my orders were supposed to have all been canceled and we were going to pick up the inverter from the Charleston West Marine... well I received an email that my package (inverter) was out for delivery to the marina and would be delivered by 1200... Hmmmm.

We arrived to the marina at approximately 1100... had to wait about 20 minutes for the dock space to clear...finally, we were securely docked 1130... our position for the night N32°46.574', W079°57.036’. We traveled today for 2.5 hours covering 16.8 nautical miles averaging 6.7 knots.

The inverter did arrive to the marina at about 1230 and I was able to successfully install it with no issues... we are back up and running with 120 AC power via inverter again.
