SAILS....Main Salon

The Main Salon is
the social center of the yacht. It serves as both the dining room
and the entertainment area. The Home Theater was added in 2004 with
the new oak cabinets and granite counter tops. The BOSE surround
sound fills the room, and the Samsung 46 inch LCD HDTV (new 2010) is huge for any
boat. The dining table was refinished in 2005.
There are two rugs that we alternate for cleaning purposes to
cover the tile. There are large storage areas under the L-shaped
sofa; bookshelves are along the starboard wall and behind the sofa.
There are 4 simple oak chairs for the table and a chair with ottoman
supplying comfortable seating for entertaining or relaxing. Nine
windows slide open from the bottom with screens, and a large water-tight
Freeman double door opens onto a large lower back porch. Lighting is
120 AC on tracks, and 12 volt. AC outlets to the entertainment
center are isolated to a pure sine-wave inverter so that power is never
interrupted with power surges or any changes in generator or shore
power. There is a large hatch in the center of the floor that allows
access to the engine room for the rare movement of large machinery.
